Legal Update – July 1, 2022

Davis, Saunders & Miller congratulates our client, railroad conductor, Maurice Landry, in his successful jury trial against CSXT Transportation, Inc. this week in federal court in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Landry was injured on-duty when a rail car ladder broke causing injuries to his shoulder and back. On June 29, 2022, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in the amount of $400,000.00. DSM also congratulates our trial team for their work: Joe Miller, Ben Saunders and Trial Paralegal, Amanda Luc.

Legal Update – June 17, 2022

At the May 2022 convention of the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys in Sanibel, Florida, our partner, Joseph Miller, was elected and elevated to the position of Secretary of the organization. Joe looks forward to continuing his leadership role in the organization to promote and advocate for railroad safety and railroad workers’ rights. Congratulations, Joe!

Legal Update – January 24, 2022

Ben Saunders and Joe Miller are travelling to Hollywood, Florida January 31 to February 2, 2022 for the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys [“ARLA”] Winter Board Meeting. Ben Saunders is one of ARLA’s Past Presidents and Joe Miller currently serves on the Executive Committee as ARLA’s Treasurer.
